Editor’s Choice Awards: List of Exemplary Eclectic Fiction in Vol 16

Or is it the Editor’s Toast Awards or maybe the Cat’s Whiskers Awards 2024.

We wanted to call it the Janitor’s Toast Awards but we didn’t because we respect that editor as much as his grandfather’s furniture which resides in the same corner of this office. The man is online at any random hour and responsible for cleaning up all the publishing errors we make and tips only his hat, never his drink nor dime.

More posh is Cat’s Whiskers, a British idiom, that’s an old-fashioned and informal term used to convey that someone or something is very appealing.

Well, let us know what you prefer in the comments and maybe you will get a surprise in our Thanksgiving snail-mail.

There are too many good fiction and art flying at us this whole year, it’s almost unfair to honor just the 6 fiction stories we nominate for the Pushcart Prize. Each small press is allowed to nominate only 6 fiction, non-fiction, poetry or essay, as mandated and limited by the Editors that seem to matter–those at Pushcart Press.

Well, due to the tremendous and fabulous response from writers, artists, contributors, readers, volunteers, we have made this second list of yummy fiction fit for every reader’s ready consumption.

We will reach out to the below list of authors and try and send them a few custom bookmarks or postcards or a dandy doodle for Thanksgiving. Each of them get a photo quality print of the artwork appearing in their respective fiction story. Our six Pushcart Nominees will be getting this swag as well.
